The foundation (1) has prefabricated side wall units (3, 6) and a base plate (7), where adjacent side wall units are arranged in edge areas such that ends of inner sides facing each other form an inner edge. The edge areas connected to the inner edge have reinforced site-mixed concrete. The base plate limited by the side wall units includes reinforced site-mixed concrete, where a part of reinforcement is formed through a bottom-sided connection armor of the side wall units. Construction joints between the side wall units and the base plate are sealed by separate sealing units (19). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a tub-shaped concrete foundation.
