<p>A storage container where production of dust caused by movement of an advancing/retreating body can be suppressed, the thickness and space of a lid body is reduced, and contamination of an article stored in the container can be prevented. The storage container has a container body (1) for receiving a precision substrate, a lid body (10) for opening and closing the front side of the container body (1), and a lock mechanism (20) for locking and unlocking the lid body (10) covering the container body (1). The lock mechanism (20) is composed of a rotary plate (21) supported by the lid body (10), a first advancing/retreating plate (26) which, based on the rotation of the rotary plate (21), projects in the direction of a peripheral wall of the lid body (10) at the time the lid body (10) is locked, and returns to a standard position of the lid body (10) at the time the lid body (10) is unlocked, a second advancing/retreating plate (32) supported by a forward end of the first advancing/retreating plate (26), projecting from the peripheral wall of the lid body (10) to be inserted into an engagement recess (3) of the container body (1) at the time the lid body (10) is locked, and returning from the recess (3) to the direction of the lid body (10) at the time the lid body (10) is unlocked, and a guide rib (37) for inclining the projecting second advancing/retreating plate (32) in the direction of thickness of the lid body (10).</p> |
