An LCD and a method for driving the same are provided to equalize kickback voltage, thereby improving the image quality, by supplying different common voltages to common electrodes of plural common regions, respectively, so as to decrease a difference of the kickback voltage in an LCD panel. Common voltage generators(30,32,34) generate different common voltages. An LCD panel(10) is divided into two or more common regions(50,52,54) respectively having common electrodes(70,72,74), and boundary regions(60,62) positioned between the common regions. The common electrodes of adjacent common regions are alternately arranged. The different common voltages are supplied to the common electrodes of the common regions, respectively. |
