Motor system with turbocharger and exhaust gas recirculation as well as method for the operation thereof

The internal combustion motor (9), and especially a diesel motor, has an exhaust gas turbocharger with a compressor (2) and a turbine(14), and an exhaust gas feedback channel (7). An exhaust gas treatment unit (12) is within the gas feedback channel and especially as an oxidation catalyst, a particle filter and/or a catalyst to reduce NOx compounds. A bypass channel (15), with a control valve (13), has its entry downstream of the treatment unit near the motor, to allow the exhaust gas to pass to the turbine (14) while the motor warms up. The gas treatment unit reaches its operating temperature rapidly so that the exhaust gas is cleaned more efficiently and the intake side is protected from soiling and possible failure.
