A wheel chair has two mirror-image side frames linked by a cruciform frame. Each side frame consists essentially of a horizontal upper strut (2) and a parallel lower strut (3), linked by a vertical forward strut (4). The parallel struts are linked at the rear end by a detachable and adjustable wheel bearing strut (5) which is joined by a socket fixture (6) to the upper strut. The upper strut is a profiled metal member which locates in a matching socket (6). |
