<p>The invention relates to a conveying unit for conveying loose material, which is suitable in particular for use in an apparatus for removing and processing silage. The conveying unit comprises a frame (16) and an endless conveyor belt (17,18), which is passed over two return pulley units (21,22) which are rotatably mounted in the frame. One or both return pulley units is (are) provided with two or more return pulleys (23,24) arranged side by side, which are coupled at their facing ends.
