A method for controlling network data transmission in a DVR(Digital Video Recorder) is provided to compare a transmission data amount with a preset limit when transmitting data to plural clients through a network and properly and variably control a delay time of data transmission to the clients or variably control a resolution of a camera video, thereby performing data transmission stably. An amount of current transmission data is detected when data is transmitted to plural clients connected through a network in a DVR(Digital Video Recorder). By comparing the detected transmission data amount with a preset limit, data transmission to a client is variably delayed(S13). In the above first step, a current transmission data amount per second is detected as transmitting the data after delaying the data transmission as much as a preset delay value(S12).
