<p>PURPOSE: A method and a recording media for proceeding an event using an electronic card service in a communication network are provided to register members, and to increase a popularity of the site by enabling the members to make out an electronic card and to participate in an event. CONSTITUTION: A user connects to a card event introduction page after connecting to a homepage(100). In case that the user connects to the card event introduction page, it is informed that the user applies for an event the moment the user sends a card(102). The user looks at contents written in the page, and performs a login for participating in the event(104). It is judged whether an existing member(106). In case that the user isn't the existing member, it is suggested that the user become of a member(108). It is moved to a card making-out page(110). The user makes out a card in a suitable form(112). It is judged whether the user selects a "sending card"(114). It is judged whether the user selects a "preview"(116). The card is confirmed. In addition, the card is corrected according to the user's need(118). A server generates a specific card page on the card(120). The server transmits a guide mail to a card receiver(122).
