A high-speed CEC communication method and a multimedia device using the same are provided to realize high-speed CEC communication to enable a user to control the multimedia device without delay. A CEC(Consumer Electronic Control) packet includes a CEC data bit with a second sampling interval smaller than a first sampling interval to transmit information configured by plural bits within the first sampling interval to determine one bit data of a first CEC method defined in HDMI(High Definition Multimedia Interface) standards. A high-speed CEC communication method is to transceive the CEC packet.
