A decoding method and system using TII in T-DMB are provided to check and decode the sync channel of a transmitter closest to a current location by using the current location information of a DMB terminal and location information by transmitter, thereby solving a problem that a receiving rate is deteriorated. A decoding method and system using TII(Transmitter Identification Information) in T-DMB(Terrestrial-Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) comprises the following steps of: receiving a current time, a latitude, and a longitude from a satellite and calculating current location information(S201,S203); extracting TII location information included in a sync channel by each transmitter in location information by transmitter obtained through the TII(S207); checking a location of a transmitter closest to the current location information by using the calculated current location information and the extracted TII location information by transmitter(S211); selecting a sync channel with the TII location information corresponding to the checked transmitter(S213); and checking the location of the transmitter closest to the current location information by using the latitude and the longitude included in the TII location information by transmitter, a detailed latitude, a detailed longitude, and the location information of a current DMB terminal, and decoding and outputting an MSC(Main Service Channel) corresponding to TII location information for the checked transmitter(S215,S217).
