An Internet TV having a function for receiving mobile phone data and a control method thereof are provided to transceive character data, voice data, and video data between a mobile phone and a TV and display the received data on a TV screen or store the received data in a built-in HDD unit. An Internet modem unit(130) connects with an Internet server(200) through the Internet and receives mobile phone data. A TV signal processing unit(110) performs a common TV function and displays the data received through the Internet modem unit on a screen. A built-in HDD(Hard Disk Drive)(120) stores the data received through the Internet modem unit according to the control of the TV signal processing unit.
