A green phosphor for a plasma display panel, and a plasma display panel using the phosphor are provided to widen color reproduction range and to prevent brightness reduction, thereby improving image quality. A green phosphor comprises a first phosphor represented by (Y_(1-x-y) Gd_x) Al3(BO3)4:Tb_y; and 10-90 parts by weight of at least one second phosphor selected from the phosphor represented by Zn2SiO4:Mn and a phosphor represented by (Ba, Sr, Mg)O.alphaAl2O3:Mn based on 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the first phosphor and the second phosphor, wherein 0<=x<1; 0<y<1; and alpha is an integer of 1-23. |
