The centrifuge has the electric motor formed as asynchronous motor (7). A rotor (8) is arranged directly on a rotating gear box (9) of the gear arrangement (11). A stator winding (13) is arranged in a motor housing (14), which is torque proof connected with the bearing housing (6) of the drum bearing and the machine frame (21).
