An electrophoretic display (1) includes a thin film transistor (173,124,175) formed on an insulation substrate (110), a pixel electrode (190) electrically connected to the thin film transistor, a partitioning wall disposed on the pixel electrode (190) and on a planarisation layer (180) so as to form enclosures which are filled with an ink (300) containing an electrophoretic member (310), and a common electrode panel (200) formed on the region filled with the ink and the partitioning wall and having a common electrode.
