A clutch return spring retainer of an automatic transmission is provided to prevent abrasion of the clutch return spring retainer into which a snap ring is inserted by blocking the rotation of the snap ring installed in the automatic transmission. A clutch retainer is installed in an automatic transmission for controlling a running speed of a vehicle. A clutch piston is installed on the clutch retainer. A clutch return spring retainer(40) is installed at a front of the clutch piston. A cutting groove is formed at a side of the clutch return spring retainer. A protrusion hook(42) is protruded from the cutting groove to an upper portion. A snap ring is coupled to the clutch return spring retainer. Both sides of the protrusion hook formed on the clutch return spring retainer are declined surfaces(43).
