A color wheel of a DLP(Digital Light Processor) optical system and a method for manufacturing the color wheel are provided to improve the operation stability of the color wheel and prevent the color wheel from being separated or damaged even though a high temperature is applied the color wheel. A motor(31) converts electric force into rotating force. A motor hub(32) is rotated by the rotating force of the motor. A plurality of color filters(3) is fixed to the motor hub. A reinforcing member(34) is fixed to the circumference of a color filter. The reinforcing member is a single member. The section of the reinforcing member(33) is a curved shape and contacts the plane and side of the color filter. The contact surface of the color filter and the motor hub and the contact surface of the color filter and the reinforcing member are bonded.
