The proposed method for determining the time of discharge of gas through a supersonic nozzle can be used in producing composite metallic materials by injecting particles of metal oxide under action of supersonic gas jet. The method consists in generating the gas high pressure pulses at the outlet of the nozzle by periodically opening the inlet valve, determining the length of the gas pressure pulses by the length of the sound signals that accompany the gas pressure pulses, and determining the time of the gas discharge by the length of the gas pressure pulses. |
