MULTIMEDIA DISPLAY APPARATUS OF VEHICLE

A multimedia display apparatus of a vehicle is provided to sense automatically the presence of passengers and provide passengers with a wide variety of multimedia contents including advertisement and news. A multimedia display apparatus of a vehicle includes a vehicle power supply unit(100), a multimedia play unit(200), and a multimedia content card(300). The vehicle power supply unit includes a vehicle battery(110), and a generator(120) for generating power by using the vehicle battery. The multimedia play unit includes a human body sensing part(210) for sensing the presence of passengers, a controller(220) for controlling power on/off of the multimedia play unit in accordance with the presence of passengers, a multimedia driving part(230) for driving the multimedia play unit in accordance with the signal output from the controller when the presence of passengers is sensed, a power on/off set part(270) for setting power on/off of the multimedia play unit in accordance with the signal output from the controller, and a mute part(260) for preventing voice signals from being generated from a voice output unit(250) if passengers want, and automatically outputting voice signals after elapse of predetermined time. The multimedia display unit is built in a headrest of a driver seat or a passenger seat, and powered by the vehicle power supply unit, and receives multimedia contents from the multimedia content card and plays received multimedia contents. The multimedia content card includes a multimedia content storing unit(310), and is arranged in the multimedia play unit such that the multimedia content card is replaceable.
