A TV having a security function and a method for sensing and reporting intrusion by using the same are provided to prevent the pre-removal or damage of a sensor and a camera by an invader because the sensor and the camera are positioned in the inside of the TV and improve security effects by transmitting intrusion and the invader's picture to a telephone or fax number preset by a user. A sensor(12) senses an invader. A camera(13) photographs the invader. A control unit(11) transmits a control signal to operate the camera when an invader sensing signal is received through the sensor, and reports intrusion to a user by transmitting separately photographed picture data to a preset fax or telephone number. The sensor and the camera are mounted in the inside of a front mask.
