A video monitoring system is provided to raise a safety level of a railway system by enabling a crew in a train to monitor both a platform and an inner-train region by receiving image signals through a wireless network. A video monitoring system includes a platform camera(10), a train camera(20), an indoor wireless unit(30), and an image controller(40). The platform camera is installed around a railway in a station and photographs the railway and the platform. The train camera photographs indoor and outdoor regions of a train. The platform camera and the train camera transmit signals using a wireless network. The indoor wireless unit is arranged in a control chamber of the train and receives the wireless signals from the cameras. The image controller receives the signal from the indoor wireless unit and displays received images.
