THE WATER MARK INSERTION AND DETECTION METHOD FOR IMAGE FORGERY OF DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER(DVR)

A watermark inserting and detecting apparatus and method for detecting a forgery image of a DVR(Digital Video Recorder) are provided to guarantee that an image received from an image monitoring device has not been forged. A watermark inserting unit inserts supplementary information of a current image frame and a watermark signal for preventing forgery to actual image contents. A watermark detecting unit(300) receives the watermark-inserted image and effectively searches the inserted watermark. A forgery region diagnosing unit(400) extracts the supplementary information to discriminate whether the image frame has been forged, or to discriminate a forged region.
