A display substrate, a display panel including the same, and a fabrication method thereof are provided to block light transfer in a blocking region by making a red color filter and a blue color filter overlap each other in the blocking region. A base substrate includes a display region(112) and a peripheral region(114) surrounding an outer edge of the display region, and the display region includes a pixel region including a first to third unit regions disposed apart from each other, and a blocking region surrounding respective outer edges of the first to third unit regions. A first color filter(120) is formed on the first unit region. A second color filter is formed on the second unit region and the blocking region. A third color filter is formed on the third unit area and the second color filter on the blocking area. The first color filter includes a green color filter, and one of the second and third color filters is a blue color filter, and the other one is a red color filter.
