A refrigerator having an ice maker is provided to obtain transparent ice cubes with little opaque portion containing air bubbles and impurities by removing air in the water to an air escaping groove in an ice making tray. A refrigerator comprises a body defined with freezer and refrigerator compartments, and an ice maker installed within the freezer compartment. The ice maker comprises a plurality of ice making parts manufacturing ice cubes, an ice making tray having an air escaping groove recessed in the ice making part to escape air contained in the water to be frozen, and an ejector ejecting ice cubes in the ice making part.
