The apparatus for manipulating flat articles (B), such as sheets of paper, plastic, cardboard and the like, has conveying elements (5, 7, 9, 11), in particular rollers. In order to provide an apparatus, and an installation equipped therewith, by means of which it is easily possible to produce selectively combined products, for example items of mail, with a wide range of variation, the conveying elements (5, 7, 9, 11) form part of at least one adjustable conveying unit which can be adjusted between at least two positions in order to effect at least two manipulations of the articles (B). The apparatus is suitable for the variable processing of articles. |
