A method for installing an instantaneous pressure reducing apparatus of a ground transformer is provided to facilitate an installation process by not moving the ground transformer to a separate work space. A method for installing an instantaneous pressure reducing apparatus of a ground transformer includes the steps of: separating an external box from the outer peripheral surface of the ground transformer in a live line state; separating an upper cover(110) from the ground transformer by releasing a bolt; forming an installing hole(300) and coupling members(310) around the installing hole in the upper cover; coupling an instantaneous pressure reducing apparatus with the upper cover through the coupling members; installing an insulation oil scattering cover for preventing the scattering of the insulation oil; and coupling the upper cover with the upper end of the ground transformer and assembling the external box.
