USE OF 20(S)-PROTOPANOXADIOL IN MANUFACTURE OF ANTIDEPRESSANTS

摘要

New use of 20(S)-protopanoxadiol in manufacture of medicaments for treating psychosis of depression type. Pharmacological experimental studies indicate that the compound can elevate markedly the level of intracerebral NE, 5-HT, HAV in rats of the depression model, enhance markedly the tremor action of 5-hydroxytryptophan and the action of the behavior effects of levodopa, and can inhibit the re-uptake of 5-HT and NA.
