<p>The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a porous metal-containing material, comprising the steps of providing a composition comprising particles dispersed in at least one solvent, the particles comprising at least one polymer material and at least one metal-based compound; substantially removing the solvent from said composition; substantially decomposing the polymer material, thereby converting the solvent free particles into a porous metal-containing material. The present invention further relates to metal-containing materials produced in accordance with the above process and their use in implantable medical devices.</p> |
