The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for establishing, registering, administering and managing vending machine subscription accounts and products offered for sale by a vending machine. In embodiments of the invention, third parties may administer and/or manage subscription-vending accounts associated with customers; facilities are provided for acceptance of vouchers and customer identification may include biometric data, behavior analysis, subscription identifiers; and product is dispensed when the product selection satisfies the subscription parameter.
