This invention relates to a liquid insect attractant composition containi ng at least one C3-C12 ketone, an aqueous solution of lactic acid, and at le ast one C1-9 fatty acid. The composition may be used in apparatuses capable of releasing the insect attractant composition to lure flying insects into t he apparatus.
