The invention relates to a method for taking and evaluating a plurality of image sequences comprising the following steps: a first reference image from a first sample which is to be analyzed is taken, the reference image comprising reference image data values which are arranged in a reference coordinate system, a selection of coordinate values is determined in the reference coordinate system taking account of reference image data values, a first sequence of examination images from the first sample is taken, the examination image comprising examination image data values which are arranged in an examination coordinate system, image properties in the first sequence of examination images are ascertained from examination image data values, with the ascertaining being effected at least at those coordinates in the examination coordinate system which essentially correspond to the previously determined selection of coordinate values in the reference coordinate system.
