SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITION

Disclosed is a silicone rubber composition containing 0.2-8 parts by weight of an organic peroxide per 100 parts by weight of a vinyl group-introduced methylphenylvinyl silicone rubber mainly containing a dimethylsiloxane copolymerization unit to which 3-30 mol% of methylphenylsiloxane copolymerization unit is copolymerized. In this connection, introduction of a vinyl group into the silicone rubber is generally achieved by copolymerization of 0.1-5 mol% of methylvinylsiloxane. When silica is used as a filler, it is preferably used in combination with a surface active agent for silica and water. The silicone rubber composition is excellentin low temperature characteristics and blister resistance, and is thus suitably used as a sealing material for 70 MPa high pressure hydrogen gas storage tanks or the like, specifically as a vulcanization molding material for O-rings, packings, gaskets, oil seals, valves and the like.
