A garbage can is provided to reduce an amount of food garbage and simultaneously make a consumer consumes an amount of foods corresponding to the amount of food garbage disposed from each house. A garbage can includes a fixed member(30), a leaf spring(20), an opening/closing projection(25), an opening/closing hole(35), and a disposable chip(10). The fixed member is fixed to a front upper part of a main body(2), and has a front part(31) and an operation hole(32). The leaf spring is fixed to a front part of a cover(3), at which the fixed member is installed, and has a bent part(22), a resilient part(23), and an opening/closing part(24). The opening/closing projection projects from a front part of the opening/closing part of the leaf spring. The opening/closing hole is formed to pass through the front part of the fixing member. The disposable chip is inserted between an inner surface of the front part and the front surface of the opening/closing part.
