<p>A nut having a first nut body in which a bolt insertion hole with an elliptic shape is formed; a first screw thread formed on one inner wall surface on the major axis side of the bolt insertion hole in the first nut body such that a bolt can be inserted into the thread; a second nut body in which a bolt insertion hole having the same elliptic shape as the first nut body is formed; a second screw thread formed at a portion on the second nut body such that the bolt can be inserted into the thread, the portion being a portion of the inner wall surface on the major axis side of the bolt insertion hole in the second nut body and facing the first screw thread of the first nut body; and holding means for holding the first and second nut bodies in such a way that, in inserting the bolt, the first and second screw threads of the first and second nut bodies are separated to enable the bolt insertion and that, when the bolt is inserted up to a predetermined position, the bolt is positioned so that the first and second screw threads are engaged with the screw thread of the bolt. The bolt can be easily inserted into the predetermined position, and when the bolt is further rotated from the position, the nut is reliably engaged with the screw thread of the bolt and the bolt can be tightened with sufficient strength. The nut has a simple structure and can be inexpensively produced.</p> |
