A diffuser having a sensor for detecting flow rate of the diffuser is provided to control flow rate of air in a space independently without influencing flow rate of other diffusers and to minimize the fluctuation of flow rate in other space by changing an rpm of a fan corresponding to the flow rate of each diffuser. A diffuser has a controller for adjusting flow rate of a diffuser, a sensor for detecting adjusted flow rate, a communication unit for transmitting sensed flow rate to a ventilation apparatus through a data communication cable. The ventilation apparatus connected to diffusers having the sensor at each diffuser includes a fan to generate amount of flow to supply air to plural diffusers through a duct by controlling an rpm of the fan corresponding to the flow rate of each diffuser. A method of controlling operation of the ventilation apparatus includes a step(S102) of deciding whether flow rate of at least one out of plural diffusers has been adjusted, a step(S104) of transmitting adjusted position of the flow rate to the ventilation apparatus if the flow rate of a diffuser has been adjusted, and a step(S106) of controlling an rpm of the fan corresponding to the flow rate of each diffuser.
