<p>A device and method for lost frame concealment are disclosed. The said device and method obtain the pitch period of the current lost frame on the basis of the pitch period of the last good frame before the current lost frame. The excitation signal of the current lost frame is regenerated based on the pitch period of the current lost frame and the excitation signal of the last good frame before the lost frame. The said device and method reduce the hearing contrast of receiver and improve the quality of speech. The said device and method adjust the pitch period of continual lost frames based on the change trend of the pitch period of the last good frame before the lost frame. The said device and method avoid the buzz effect produced by the continual lost frames and improve the quality of speech more. In addition, by attenuating the energy of excitation signal obtained from the continual lost frames, the said device and method accord with the hearing physiological characteristic of human and reduce the hearing contrast of receiver further.</p>
