P53 FUSION PROTEINS WITHOUT TRANSCRIPTION ACTIVITY, AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF

The fusion proteins are based on the p53 protein, comprise an Mdm2 binding domain and/or a ubiquitylation domain, and lack all or part of the domain responsible for DNA binding of said p53 protein, which has been totally or partially replaced by a marker peptide. Therefore, said fusion proteins lack p53 protein transcription activity. Applicable to the screening of compounds that inhibit degradation of the p53 protein via Mdm2 and/or via proteosome.
