<p>The invention relates to seismology and can be used for forecasting earthquakes. The inventive method consists in continuously recording signals by means of sonic and vibration sensors located at the mouth of the metal well bore whose depth is equal to or greater than 5 km, in analysing the informative characteristics of said signals, namely, estimates of the actual signal noises, estimates of a positional binary analysis, dispersions of the actual and useful signals and the mathematical expectation of the useful signal, and in determining a head-wave arrival time and a provisional earthquake intensity by means of the difference between the threshold of a permissible range of the reference values of informative characteristics and the actual value thereof. Said invention makes it possible to increase the operativeness and the determination accuracy of the head-wave arrival time to a seismological station.</p> |
