VERIFICATION AND ERROR CORRECTION OF STORED DATA IN A NAMING SYSTEM

A server node (NS) communicates with a client node (NC) in a network (RT). The server node memorizes in a naming file stored data linked to the network node identifier (Na, Nb). The server node or a correction code node (NCO) memorizes an error correction code determined by the data. In the function of an identifier sent by the client node, the server node sends registration data to the client node. The server node or correction code node sends an error correction code in response to a correction code request sent with the node identifier by the client node. In the client node, the data sent are verified and corrected based on the error correction code if said data is thought to be incorrect.
