The kit has a brake pedal (1) equipped with a rotation axle (12) at its upper part, and a brake amplifier rod (2) mechanically integrated to the brake pedal in rotation based on a degree of freedom. A maintenance plate (4) has a projection (41), whose cylindrical recess (42) receives the rotation axle of the brake pedal, and a maintenance stopper (3) e.g. embossed metallic plate, maintains the rotation axle on the maintenance plate. The stopper permits the degree of freedom in rotation to the brake pedal based on the rotation axle. An independent claim is also included for a method for linking a brake pedal to a pedal assembly.
