An apparatus for cutting an arc tube encapsulation for manufacturing an HID(High Density Discharge) lamp is provided to rotate an arc tube and to uniformly heat an end side of the arc tube by using a pulley unit and a plasma torch unit. A pulley unit(60) has an exhausting/filling pipe(12) of a vacuum/gas block(10) being air-tightly coupled to a magnetic fluid unit(30) having a hollow shaft(32) by a coupling unit(20) and rotates the hollow shaft. Another end of the hollow shaft is air-tightly coupled to an end of a tube fixing unit(40). A plasma torch unit(70) heats an arc tube which is rotated by the pulley unit. The arc tube is inserted into and fixed on the tube fixing unit and communicated with the exhausting/filling pipe. Therefore, the arc tube is uniformly heated and encapsulation-cut. The hollow shaft is supported by a bearing unit.
