A system setup device in a sensor network equipped with plural sensor nodes is provided to simultaneously conduct system setup for overall or some of sensor nodes, thereby shortening time taken for the system setup of the sensor nodes as saving application development costs and periods for the sensor network. Plural sensor node communication interface units(230aa-230nm) transmit data for system setup to sensor nodes. Plural data relay units(220a-220n) are connected with the predetermined number of the interface units(230aa-230nm), and relay the data for the system setup to the interface units(230aa-230nm). A system controller(210) controls operation of the interface units(230aa-230nm) and the relay units(220a-220n) so as to transmit the data for the system setup to the sensor nodes.
