A URL(Uniform Resource Locator) input method in a mobile terminal is provided to enhance the convenience of users, who connects the Internet through their mobile terminals, by inputting URLs through the selection of numeric keys, not a repetitive, complicated keypad operation. If a user selects "URL input" on the browser of a mobile terminal, the first menu composed of plural items is outputted and displayed. If the user selects a specific item of the first menu using a numeric button or a navigation key, the contents of the selected item are automatically inputted in a URL input window, and the first menu disappears on the browser. If the user inputs "." in the URL input window, "." is inputted after the inputted contents. Then the second menu composed of plural items including preset second-priority domain names is outputted and displayed. If the user selects a specific item of the second menu, the contents of the selected item are added after "." in the URL input window, and the second menu disappears. If the user inputs "." again, "." is inputted following the inputted contents. Then the third menu composed of plural items including preset uppermost domain names is outputted and displayed. If the user selects a specific item of the third menu, the contents of the selected item are inputted following the contents which have been inputted until now, and the third menu disappears on the browser.
