<p>An indoor unit for an air conditioner, having a front air filter (11A), an upper air filter (11B), a heat exchanger (10), and a fan (20) that are arranged along an air feeding path (28) formed in an indoor unit body (1); an air filter cleaning mechanism (A) for removing dust adhered to the air filters (11A, 11B) by moving while being in contact with the surfaces of the air filters (11A, 11B); and a fan cleaning mechanism (B) for removing dust adhered to a cross flow fan (21) while being in contact with it, the fan cleaning mechanism (B) performing dust removal while the cross flow fan (21) is rotated and while the mechanism passes the air filters (11A, 11B) and the heat exchanger (10). The air filter cleaning mechanism (A) and the fan cleaning mechanism (B) are in contact with the air filters (11A, 11B) and the cross flow fan (21), respectively, and automatically remove dust adhered to them.</p> |
