摘要 <p>The invention relates to electromagnetic wave energy converters and can be used for producing electric power. The inventive converter comprises N>1,, analogous conductivity areas, wherein N is an integer, and one opposite conductivity area in such a way that N individual single-type p-n junctions are formed, wherein the first electrode is adjacent to each of said N analogous conductivity areas and a second electrode is adjacent to the opposite conductivity area. The first electrode can follow each of the N analogous conductivity areas along the perimeter thereof and can, at least partly, or entirely cover each of them. The thus obtained converter makes it possible to convert not only a traditional frequency band of electromagnetic waves (optical band) but also the larder frequency band and to enable the converters to be operational around the clock. Said converter is also characterised by the high power and performance thereof and in that it provides the high accuracy and stability of output characteristics and is operational under conditions of important temperature gradient.</p>
