METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EFFICIENT REORDERING SCHEME IN MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for efficiently solving reversed order of packets in a mobile communication system and a device thereof are provided to be capable of variably and quickly re-arranging order of packets according to a determined timer by considering retransmission frequency in accordance with HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Retransmission Request) operation, thereby increasing communication efficiency. A maximum value of an order re-arrangement timer is received from an upper layer(505). Packets and a processing time of the packets are received from an HARQ entity(510). The processing time is subtracted from the maximum value to determine a driving time of the order re-arrangement timer(515,520). Reception of not-received packets is confirmed until the order re-arrangement timer expires, and order of the received packets is re-arranged(530,535).
