A stator with a winding type stator core and a laundry machine having the same are provided to reduce a manufacturing cost of the stator by extracting two rows of core plates from a single electric iron plate. A stator of an electrical motor includes a stator core. The stator includes plural poles(251) and a base(250). A portion of the base is cut. At least a portion of one cross-section of the base includes a cutting portion which is adjoined with other cross-section, when the cross-section is wound. The cutting portion is arranged between poles in the base. A recess is formed on at least one cross-section of the cutting portion. The recess is formed from one end of the cross-section, where the poles are arranged.
