<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus capable of taking away sleepiness promptly by prompting elevation of the degree of awakening and rise of sympathetic nerve activity after a user is awakened. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting apparatus 3 gives an alarm sound and prompts awakening of a user, when an alarm time established beforehand has arrived. Since it has a function to make a red LED 15 emit light by the operation of an alarm button, it prompts elevation of the degree of awakening and rise of sympathetic nerve activity and can take away sleepiness promptly.
