<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for charging for use of drawing software, capable of charging the fee according to substantial usage of drawing software by a user-side device 7. <P>SOLUTION: In the method wherein a drawing software providing server 1 charges a fee for use of drawing software provided by the drawing software providing server 1 on the user-side device 7, the user-side device 7 defines a virtual paint consumed according to the drawn line thickness, the filled area, or the density in drawing by use of the drawing software, and the amount of the paint purchased by the user-side device 7 is charged as the usage of the drawing software.
