<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of irradiating light with less diffusion from a plurality of light-emitting elements, and a compact projector with high brightness using the above light source device. <P>SOLUTION: The projector is provided with a light source device, a light source side optical system, a display element generating a projection image, a projection side optical system projecting a projection image, and a projector control means. The light source device includes a housing part 20 and a light-emitting element, the housing part 20 is provided with a wall surface such as a slant reflective flat surface forming a rectangular projecting opening 21, and the projector has a trapezoid shape of its short side wall face 25, with a slant of a long side wall face 23 of the projecting opening 21 to be made smaller than that of the short side wall face 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
