<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device and a failure notification method therefor, notifying a driving state of a motor to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: This motor drive device includes: a determination section for determining whether to determine failure of the motor by changing a driving frequency of the motor, based on a control signal for controlling the motor; a driving frequency control unit for controlling the driving frequency of the motor, so as to be within an audible range when determined to determine the failure of the motor by changing the driving frequency of the motor; and a motor driving unit for driving the motor at a driving frequency set by the driving frequency control unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
